I got started very late in 2014, early 2015 When I was 113Kgs. I was tired of never finding clothes that were comfortable and stylish and I got tired of being so damn tired all the time. I realised during a late night snack binge that I was miserable and decided to do something about it. The next day I googled some local personal trainers, weighed my options and went from there. The last 12-16 months has been super challenging, but I've gone from a size 22 to a size 12-14. I've lost over 30 kilos so far and I've gained more strength and muscle and flexibility than I ever thought possible. I'm excited to be continuing on the journey of fitness and finding my niche. I love hitting the weights room at my local gym, but I also love a session or three at the yoga studio down the road.
I love feeling more confident in not only my appearance but my abilities. One of the most motivating factors for me has been the realisation that just two weeks ago my body couldn't do what it just did, it couldn't lift what it just lifted and it couldn't last as long as it just did. I love being able to walk in to any store and knowing they'll have my size. I love connecting with people around me and finding like minded people and finding out their journeys and getting advice or tips from those who have been doing this longer. It's been a fantastic way to learn about myself and grow stronger not only physically, but mentally too.
