In January 2005 I was at my all time heaviest weight which was around 220-225. I was wearing a size 18. It had been almost a year since I had delivered my fifth child and I couldn't get the weight off. I began to devour everything I could on fitness, which at the time was my husband's Muscle and Fitness magazines. I would tweak the diets and exercises to make them work for me and they did. But one day I ran across Oxygen magazine at my doctor's office and I was hooked. I was amazed at the way the women looked. I always thought that weight training would bulk you up like guys, but they were beautiful and I wanted that for myself. I was inspired by Davan Medina, Monica Brant, and my biggest inspiration Francisca Dennis. She has 6 children and all I can say is WOW. She inspired me to believe that I could have it all.
I love working out because of the transformation it makes not only on your body, but in your mind also. It teaches patience and discipline. You will love your new fit life and you may live longer because of the healthy change. I love fitness and I enjoy the way that it makes me feel. I have become an inspiration to my 17-year old son who is now joining me from time to time in my workouts when he's not doing his own.
