I don't have one of those amazing stories where I lost 60 pounds I had been battling for years. But what I do have is a dream. I had always been pretty fit when I was young, played a lot of sports, and was very active. Right around 22 I had started to balloon. I would go between 120-150 and would not eat healthy at all. I had always wanted to compete but made the same excuses we always here, "I don't have time, I work long hours, I'm always traveling, I can't take my food with me." In June 2013 I met Andrea Miele aka My Inspiration. We were working a convention together in Las Vegas and in 3 days she discredited all my excuses. She got up every morning before the long hours and worked out in the hotel gym. She brought all her meals with her for the entire trip. When we went out to eat at night and would be ordering steak, fries, and dessert, she would order chicken and asparagus: no oils. I couldn't believe it. I felt like such a weak person. We stayed in contact and I'm lucky enough to cal her a good friend of mine. About 2 weeks after that I set a date for my first competition! The rest is history! I hope one day to be along side the elite athletes of this industry and prove hard work, determination, and a little belief goes a long way!!
