I have always been very active, hockey in the winter , soccer and mountain biking in the summer.
Growth spurt in the middle of highschool left me feeling a bit gangly at 6 foot. 160 lbs .
I started using the weightroom at school and a small weight set and York 2001 circuit machine in my basement. A few months in and I had gained 15 pounds and was definitely feeling a lot better absout myself and my athleticism. I kind of half assed it at this stage because I was still young and what felt like too busy with life. Nonetheless steadily fostering a stronger work ethic.
Started lifting seriously 8 years ago after travelling abroad in Europe for a year. I was in great cardiovascular condition but after doing 8 months of road riding I thought I better try and gain some muscle when I get home. After 10 months of heavy training 6 days a week and Learning to eat like a bodybuilder and proper supplementation I had gained 30 pounds from 175 up to 205 and I was hooked. Slowly been gaining muscle and trying to improve my physique ever since over the years. It's been quite the journey so far and I have a long way to go.
I live to lift. Switching on the intensity. Really testing your body to its true limits and beyond.
I think the general apathy most people have for improving themselves physically and transforming into who they truly envision their physical self to be is depressing and downright confusing.
I like to believe life is an art and who you are and how your soul is carried around this existence is of some importance. I would be lying if I said I wasn't an extremely competitive person also and I love being ready to compete in anything that comes along .
Always being in great shape helps you succeed in every facet of life, what else can you say offers that?
When people see something in you like a level of intensity or purpose that inspires them to really make an effort and motivates them its a great feeling.
If your not taking care of your body your not taking care of your life.
Ps: chicks dig it, endorphins , confidence, being big and strong is fun , opens doors and sometimes Windows, you never know when your going to have to defend yourself or someone you care about.
