I've always been a fan of Arnold, and growing up I was taught to always improve myself. My dad introduced me to structured weight lifting when I was in middle school, and then I progressed on my own from there. During high school my desire to get bigger and stronger was actually driven by Dragonball Z, where the character worked out and trained harder and harder to be the best. So yes, I'm also a nerd.

Today I love bodybuilding for some of the same reasons I did when I started. Working out helps me stay balanced. After a hard workout and a shower I feel very relaxed. It also helps me stay mentally and physically tough, and drives me to beat old PRs and to grow stronger. Another motivation to be as strong as I possible can comes from being able to protect my small, growing family from whatever real dangers may present themselves.
