My Story:
All my life I had always been under weight. I had never felt self conscious of my body until high school. I did start to notice that I was under weight but at the time I did nothing about it. Sophomore year of high school I got the inspiration to make a short film about cage fighting, this was the biggest life changing decision I have ever made. In life I believe that you should do everything in your power to be the best you can be and put out your best content for the world to see. The only person who believed in my film was the main actor of the film, my high school best friend, so both he and I were out of shape and needed to change our bodies to fit our roles. The day we told someone about our movie idea they told us we were being stupid then went on to tell the rest of the school about our idea and how stupid they thought it was, it did not phase us. We knew that if we put our minds to it we can achieve anything so we continued to draft our film.
While I was writing the film I found the bodybuilding.com website and found the All-Pro Full body workout. I didn�t know how to do any of the exercises, use the techniques, nor did I have the knowledge of changing my body, all I knew was that I am going to make the change. The first month I spent all day researching bodybuilding tips and just eating everything in sight. During that month I got a good grasp on the knowledge I needed to really make a transformation in my body.
Four Months into my journey I had finally perfected my diet and began eating the exact same thing everyday (To this day I still bulk on the same diet, only with more volume of food) and Training hard on All-Pros Beginner workout. 6 Months in I had got such a good knowledge of how to control your calories to get the results you want to see in your body so I created a diet for my friend, my best friend and lead actor in the film, then got him started on a program I had created myself to get him to lose weight and really get his physique where it needed to be. By this time I had left the Full Body Program and moved onto an upper/lower split I created for myself focusing on hypertrophy and progressive over load to really get the most out of this transformation.
Eight months in I had been able to establish a strong mind muscle connection in each muscle, which only allowed me to gain more muscle and become stronger. Each month I noticed changes in both mine and my friends physiques and I loved the feeling that what I was doing was slowly starting to make a change in both our lives. While others continued to laugh out our goals and taunt us about how ridiculous we sounded, just for simply trying to achieve a goal, we were working hard and doing everything it took to make our idea come to life. Though people laughed at me, I had made unbelievable progress in both my body and my film and even though at any point I could show them the progress I�ve made I decided to always wear t-shirts to conceal my body progress and keep my script under lock and key so that they could think I had made no progress in my journey.
By the one year mark I had finished my transformation and the moment has come where I needed to have my shirt off for the movie. We shot the scene as planned, finished the film and after one year, thousands of dollars spent on our movie and 12 months of hard work in the gym it was finally time to reveal our film to the school, it was that day that my life changed forever. The film was raved about throughout the entire school, the ones who told us we were crazy were now the people asking to be a part of my next journey, I began to get complements about my body and my potential do go further in everything I was doing. The film was so successful I started getting contacted by companies to work for them, but at this point my mind began shifting and I didn�t understand why but I was not interested in their offers.
By the end of all of this I found myself at a point in my life where I questioned everything that I wanted to do in my life. From as long as I could remember I wanted to be a film maker in Hollywood but now I was starting to want something more. I can bring happiness to people by working in film but it doesn�t do enough for me. When I gave my friend his diet I didn�t know how much that small thing would make my entire mindset shift. I noticed that, when his body started changing, he started changing as well and became a much different person, for the better. It might have been something small but that impacted me so much. I wanted to do the same thing for other people. Making films make people happy for a moment but changing your life can make you happy forever, I want to change people�s lives and give everyone that feeling.
The future is unwritten for now but I do have an idea of how I want my story to be forged. I have built up my social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and soon YouTube and have began building up a following so that they can tell more people and then those people can tell more people and spread my message to as many people as possible. I will become a world wide personal trainer some day but at the end of this I just want to inspire people to change their lives and become the best they can be then have those people spread the same thing to others. To this day I still stick to my principles to be humble no matter how successful you become in life, No matter how far I bring my physique I will always wear a t-shirt in the gym and not become over confident about what I have achieved, No matter how many people I reach I won�t let anyone else feel any less adequate than somebody else. If I have learned anything through my journey it is that if you Believe you can do it, you can, If you work hard enough, you will Achieve it, and when you reach your goals you need to adapt to that pattern of action and Repeat it with everything you do in life. This is not the end of my journey it is only the beginning of something great.
