I dated a man who was very much into fitness. We had conflicting schedules, but I would go to the gym with him every weekend. Eventually, I would miss working out if I didn't get my sessions in. I would actually get depressed/anxious. I really loved the way it made me feel after a great workout. I especially love working out outside in the fresh air! :)
Before I met him, I was always scared to lift weights and focused mainly on cardio. He taught me that lifting heavy would provide dramatic results. I loved feeling stronger with every workout. I was really gaining momentum, until we parted ways. Unfortunately, the gym reminded me of our time together, so I stopped going and let my diet fail as well. Well, now it's time to leave the past in the past and take control of my future. I cannot wait to see how far I can go!
There is a competition on the day I turn 40, and I plan on being on stage, competing. What an amazing birthday present to myself!
