I have been working out since I was in high school. I guess you could say I was one of those girls who only did cardio cause they didn't want to get fat. As time went on I decided to challenge myself by doing a 1/2 marathon in February of 2014. Training was tough since I have battled asthma since high school, but I made it through and finished the entire 1/2 marathon. It was a great accomplishment and I will never forget it.
About two weeks later I ended up in a car accident, causing me to obtain a concussion and end up in physical therapy for neck and back re-alignment. My mother then found out that she might be suffering from heart disease. With all the bad luck surrounding me It was time for a change. I had been watching MR. Big Man On Campus STEVE COOK for about a year and decided it was time to get healthy and get dedicated to something that I feared. Only way to conquer fear is by challenging yourself. So here I am! I started my pre-training in May with a former athlete and finally hired my Coach in July. Best decision of my life. My whole world has changed, my mood, my body, and my attitude. I love this sport and will always love it until the day I die.
The reason I love bodybuilding and working out is because it increases mood. Endorphins are secreted through the brain at higher levels when a workout takes place. Also many other mood neurotransmitter increase due to working out leaving you feeling happier. I also love seeing my body change and knowing that I did that through the hard work I am putting in.
