My career with weights can be traced back to when I was 11 years old. I was a skinny kid. My father saw my desperation to become bigger and gave me a set of 5-pound dumbbells. I began lifting every night with no conception of what I was doing. I didnât know anything about balance, symmetry, or definition. I just lifted to get bigger. In high school, I had to look through a muscle magazine as part of an assignment for my weight training class. This was my introduction to the world of bodybuilding. I was fascinated by the Herculean physiques I saw before me. âThat is what I want to look like,â I told myself. I began reading more bodybuilding magazines to absorb as much knowledge as possible. I made the transition from casual weightlifter to bodybuilder at 16 yrs old and haven't looked back since.
During my brief existence on this planet, bodybuilding has shown me a better way of life. I am healthier, stronger, and more confident around people than before I started working out.
