I've always had the desire to be physically superior. I think that almost all men want to be stronger, but some want it a lot more than others and some are more disciplined than others. It's not a mystery where you get a physique that impresses... the gym. I started lifting at my high school gym freshman year, and I had the burning desire to outperform myself and others. The problem was my routine was atrocious, and I lacked many basic concepts related to weightlifting. After experiencing huge imbalances in my body (chest>legs), and tremendous setbacks, I constantly learned why and how to workout correctly.
I love bodybuilding because of the pump, and because I love being physically capable. I have hit rock bottom physically from having a serious case of ulcerative colitis, which resulted in me losing every ounce of strength that I ever had. As a result of this, I cherish my physical abilities and my life. Bodybuilding has turned my life around.
