It all started so recently. I remember just sitting at my desk at work after eating an entire box of Girl Scout cookies (the shortbread kind) and thinking, "Wow, did I really just do that?" After that a couple of days had went by and I had caught a glance of myself as I was changing clothes to get ready for work. What I saw was horrible. I saw this "skinny-fat" person, and I hated it! That night I decided that I needed a change. I wanted to be proud of the person that I saw looking back at me in that mirror, not embarrassed! I wanted to not only feel amazing, but look amazing as well.
I love it because it's the best way to take care of yourself all around. When you take care of your body, not only with excercise but nutrition as well, you benefit yourself greatly. You have loads of energy, your skin has a glow to it, your prescense has substance and greatest of all, you motivate others. It feels so good to walk into the locker room after an intense workout session and have women just stare at you in amazement. It's a confidence booster! What's even better is when it's "weigh-in" time and you step on that scale, close your eyes, here that little beep, and open your eyes to see a number that you worked so hard to achieve. At that moment, you realize that those Krispy Creme doughnuts that the office was having, was not intended for you, that pizza party that your friends were throwing, was not for you...instead, this moment right here, this moment was meant for you; the moment where all of your struggles and sometimes even tears have been accounted for. This is why I love what I do.
