Initially I started in junior high to play rugby and with the insistance of my father to live a healthier lifestyle that he thought would improve my ability in sports in spite of having asthma. In high school I simply enjoyed it and wanted to become a stronger, tougher competitor in wrestling and choose to continue weight lifting at this point. After highschool I simply stopped, got married, had a family. I restarted back in 2010 and tried to get back into it with a PT and unfortunately had medical problems that got in the way. I returned to exercise again in 2011 running my first 5K event which I never thought I would ever be able to do, I wanted to continue and start building up myself overall and not just with cardio and went back to exercising in addition to running and have continued on this path every since with minor stops due to common illness (flu, cold, chest infections and what not).
