I joke that I've been bulking for 7 years and I'm now cutting. I've always been active - mostly cardio, lots of cycling and mountain biking. Thought I was eating healthy, but boy...the fat slowly started to accumulate. After my daughter's wedding in Aug, I decided to make body building - and specifically me - my new "hobby".
So, I began researching, learning and applying what I was learning. I started lifting, and made weights the primary focus of my workouts, with shorter more HIIT sessions. Started eating like a body builder. Figured out my TDEE, my Macros and build my menus. The fat is slowly coming off - is there any other way? Feeling stronger, more confident and know that I'm in a good position to make it to my goals.
I enjoy putting on my music, hitting the gym with a plan. Watching the calories spin up on my HR monitor. Checking my history for an exercise on my body space and determining if I can beat it today. Tracking what I eat. Even better, planning what I will eat and then sticking to it. Feeling my body getting stronger and my clothes getting lose in all the right areas.
