I had sinus colds and misc. colds for about 3 months and my body was so tired from trying to fight them off without being in shape or getting any rest. I was tired and my clothes kept getting tighter. To make myself feel better, I began "treating" myself to blizzards quite frequently. I was too tired to cook and it was all I could do to keep the house relatively clean and everyone in clean clothes, so it was soooo much easier to have the hubby pick up fast food and I felt bad, so of course I wanted whatever I wanted from the menu and it was only making me feel worse. I was athletic in high school and weighed in around 110 pounds. After marriage and 2 babies I always put everyone else first and anytime I tried to start something, I failed. My failure was always is poor planning and time management. So the sinuses finally cleared up and I found bodybuidling.com the same day. I discovered Jamie Eason's LiveFit program where EVERYTHING was spelled out for me. So I was going to start in 2 weeks, then I stepped on the scale and it was at 141. I had never been in the 140's not pregnant. I am petite and small framed so while that number may not seem huge, the body fat percentage being over 30 made me realize I am not waiting any longer. I immediately dove into all the videos and articles, printed out all the exercise and meal planning, and got together my store list. I stayed up until 2am prepping food and got up at 5am to do my first workout. I know I need to rest, but I wasn't going to give up and viewed that as my first challenge. The greatest thing is having my jusband supporting me AND participating. We are scheduling and communicating our needs to make sure I get time to grocery shop and meal prep one day a week so that we both have healthy food readily availabe and I get more time to rest! Originally my goal was to get skinny, now my goal is to get fit. I may never enter a competition, but I want to look like I can!
