I was always active with soccer and softball when I was young, and played soccer and cheered in High School. When I went to college, I didn't play any sports (other than intramural) I began teaching group fitness classes my first year at Western Illinois University. I loved it. It wasn't work, it was so much fun, and so rewarding when people were sore and tired at the end of class. It was the best feeling to acquire repeat participants. Having that responsibility to others kept me on track with health and fitness.
I have had some ups and downs, but all in all fitness has always been a big part life. There is nothing like the gym!!
I am always striving for new goals and challenges, whether that is a new physical challenge, or emotional challenge, or a professional challenge. I believe the more we overcome the stronger we become. With working out I can constantly reach new heights and challenge myself everyday!
I also love to inspire and "coach" others. There is nothing better than seeing someone improve/change because of my direction and sharing my knowledge.
