I have been obsessed with fitness, healthy living, and being active ever since 8th grade. Kids can be cruel. I decided then and there that I didn't want to be the victim or the focus of their jokes and harassment. My passion has only grown and developed over the years. In the Fall of 2016 my mother in law died of pancreatic cancer. This has had me on the path to find a way to live that mitigates my chances of cancer for myself, my beautiful wife, and my amazing children. I believe that I have found that in Keto (Ketosis). I have been living the Keto way since the 5th of July. The idea behind keto is to train the body to use ketones (fat) for fuel rather than carbs. Cancer cells can only use glucose for fuel while healthy cells can use glucose or ketones. Ultimately, the goal is live cancer free by never feeding the mutated cells and starving them out before they can grow. Aside from that, it has given me the ability to quit energy drinks and not rely so heavily on caffeine for energy. I feel amazing overall, have lost 15 lbs and 3 % in just over a month, and I swear that my hair is coming in thicker... I am a believer for sure!
I absolutely love the way that exercise makes me feel. The pump from lifting is addicting, as well as the adrenaline from running trails that verge on parkour. It is a part of who I am. Now I am working on my Bachelors in Science for Sports and Health.
