I had consistently gained weight each year since 2005. After I got married, the pounds seemed to be packing on even quicker. I ended up being out of shape with 27% body fat at 118lbs at 4'11". After having my second child in 2012, I decided it was time for me to get back in shape and feel good about myself. In 2012, Six weeks after my c-section I got the okay from the doctor to begin working out and I started heading to the gym just to do some cardio spinning classes. I loved the feeling of working up a sweat and feeling challenged. I started spinning 3 days a week. I received some advice from the spinning instructor that I should start to incorporate some weight training into my routine and have been working out at least 3 days a week of full body training since then. I am now at 18.5% body and lost over 20lbs. I'm in better shape than I was in high school (I was just too skinny and had no muscle then).
I am now switching from full body workouts to more focused and isolation to get better results. Wish me luck!
