I weighed 300lbs at age 19, and decided to make a change. Over the next few years, I studied a lot of nutrition and fitness, and worked hard leaning out to 195. Gradually, priorities changed and through my 20s, I kept lifting, but didn't keep up with my nutrition. My fitness and nutrition were appalling, my weight had ballooned again and two months after I got married, I finally got a blood test. The test showed that my cholesterol was high, triglycerides were higher and my liver enzymes were a mess. At the end of August, 2019, I realized that I had allowed my weight to shoot up to 271 lbs, and I had to make a change. I reached the crossroads. At 29, I have the choice as to whether I will return to my old fitness lifestyle, and set the tone for a healthier, fitter and more swole life of gains, or continue to decline into mediocrity and poor health. In my mind, there is no choice. Lets do this.
There is nothing like that feeling after a heavy lifting session. Where you feel like a superhero, as endorphin induced euphoria fills you with confidence. I loved when I was lean and fit. I felt healthy, and strong, and capable, and I can't wait to get back to that again.
