I have always been an athlete and led an active lifestyle. I got into lifting when I was a Freshmen in High school and asked to switch out my normal P.E. class with a weights class. I continued working out and it has been a huge hobby of mine ever since. A friend of mine was just breaking into the fitness competition world and asked if I would be interested in competing in an INBA show in Sacramento. From the time she asked I only had about a month to prep for the show but thought aw what the heck I have nothing to loose and this will be a good motivator. I stepped on stage my first time and fell in love with the sport. I took 2nd and qualified for the International Natural Olympia, competed against some very talented women and decided I wanted to pursue bikini competitions and started scouting my next show. From there I competed in the Muscle Beach show on the 4th of July and took 4th out of about 40 women. I then decided to compete in the NPC and set my goals on a show in Reno and one in SLC a week apart. NPC was a higher level of competition and although I did not do terrible I did not do as best as I would have liked so I decided to refocus my goals and spend some more time training. I then began a job working for MusclePharm and was so stoked to combine my passions with my career. Being a full time student in my last year of College and working long hours left little time for working out but I always seemed to make it work. My boss retired at MP and I decided to look into other companies that still aligned with my passion of fitness and it landed me at the best company around, Bodybuilding.com. I continue to live a healthy and fit lifestyle and am always setting goals to push myself not only physically but mentally.
