Always the fat kid since age 12, eating junk food 3 times a day, until a serum protein level at age 16 showed that my protein levels alone were 3 x times that of an adult. Started long haul jogging, on and off, and didn't really change my eating habits much. Kept packing the pounds and going into man-boob territory until my college freshman year, when while fitting for a suit for a wedding, I realized my lowest point; 89 kgs, 40 inch waist, zero physical activity impetus. Decided to turn things around beginning of sophomore year, and hit the Decline Ab board at the gym for the first time ever (2006). Didn't change my diet, but worked out endlessly. Only until 2007's "300" was released, that I realized where I wanted to be, physically and mentally. A son of Sparta. So now despite all obstacles, I'm bent towards getting towards that Grecian Ideal. Picked up a ton of knowledge and realized I made a lot of newbie mistakes when I started out. But the only way forward is to learn from your mistakes and apply them to the future.
The only proven way in which I truly lose weight, combined with a good, balanced and smart diet plan. It's tough at times, but it elevates my mood at the end of a crappy day, and helps me to sleep better even! plus, I get hungry more often, and when I eat, my mind focuses on fueling the body, rather than fueling the gut. it's a win-win-win!
