I use to be really into partying. I would drink and go out at least three times a week. One of my many bar nights, I met this guy who had just won an OPA competition. We became friends, and he started to really encourage me to join his lifestyle. I was opposed to the idea, but one day caved when he said "Just meet my trainer once! Than I'll never bother you again about it." That sounded reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment. After sitting in his (Troy Thompson) office for a merely 10 minutes, I was hooked. He was the best! He was going to take me places! I signed on with him almost immediately. In only 4 weeks with his coaching and my efforts, I was able to drop 6% body fat. It was amazing, the transformation eating right and working out could do.
Summer hit, and I started to slowly fall out of it. I was still going to the gym on a regular basis, just wasn't able to eat right. I felt like I was starting to gain weight all over again. I internally felt gross. I decided that I either need to give myself 100% to this, or not at all! All or nothing baby! I scheduled a weighin, and haven't looked back since! I'm not overly obsessed with the gym. I no longer drink or party. Working out is my drug, I never use to understand that saying, until now.
I love the feeling your body gets during and after a workout. You almost feel rejuvenated and relaxed. I love pushing my limits, and seeing how far I can take myself.
In the beginning, I wasn't able to run for longer than 2 minutes, and wasn't able to do a standard pushup if my life depended on it. Seeing how my body has transformed, and that you have total control over moulding your body the way you want it fascinates me.
I workout at a gym called The Gym (T2 Training Systems). It's almost like a small community. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. We're all there with pretty much the same goal, so we help each other out. I love the atmosphere of being there.
