I've always been skinny but not fit skinny, more of a fat skinny, if that makes sense. My good friend Andy and I both knew we needed to start getting more active and in shape and both needed a gym partner so we signed up at Gold's Gym Regina. The nice thing for me is that Gold's is about a 2 minute walk from my house. Recently, I met an amazing guy named Mike, who is now my boyfriend. He's perfect for me as he's in to fitness and healthy eating. He's very educated and has taught me so much in the time I've known him. He's never competed before, but mentioned that he thought I should try. I had never thought about it before but I thought, "hey what the heck, I'll try anything!" To start, I will be following one of Amanda Latona's workouts with a few very minor changes due to health limitations. So here we go.... Day 1 ...
It gives me a rush. It burns. It feels good. Some days it sucks. Some days I don't want to go. Then there are the days where I look in the mirror and at past photos of myself and know EXACTLY why I go to the gym and eat healthy. I am going to feel better, look better and live a longer, happier and healthier life. I hope to one day pass this on to my children.
