After my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 years ago, the first question the doctors asked was if my mom had a daughter. At that stage I was a smoker and a weekend party animal. It was a big eye opener for me when my mom told me I should stop smoking and living healthier as the doctor told her I could get it one day as my gran and aunt also had cancer. It took a while to get to the point where I totally stopped smoking and calmed down, but my big change happened when I got engaged and my husband and I both decided we wanted to start living a healthy life. This happened about 4 years ago. We both lost a lot of weight and started loving the healthy life and the training bug bit us both quite hard as we both love training. We are now both trying to eliminate the weekend bad habits of cheating a bit to much when it comes to food, because from a Monday to a Friday we are amazingly healthy, but Saturday and Sunday we over indulge a bit to much. We are both at the point where it is more important to feel good and maybe have one cheat meal then to ruin all our hard work. We love training together sometimes and we always motivate each other now.
It makes me feel amazing. Love the feeling of each week feeling new muscles that I never knew I had. I find training as an escape also from my busy life of working, studying and being a wife. It's kind of like my "Woman Cave" :D A healthy and fit body is important to me.
