I grew up playing sports, mainly basketball in New York. The only thing from keeping me from playing D2 basketball in college was that I just could not put on ANY muscle mass, I have asthma, then I injured myself and ended up with three herniated discs in my lower back and was unable to play any sports or workout for up to 8 months. After re-injuring my back in a D3 college I had to stop playing basketball which was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. So as in college, I drank way to much malt liquor and finally gained 35 pounds, but not the pounds I was hoping. My last year of college I decided to give up drinking 100% and my new addiction was working out again. I no longer wanted to make excuses about my back or asthma and started researching people who had the same 'limitations' as me who worked out. I am lucky that I don't need to lose anymore weight, but am back in the cycle of wanted to gain muscle mass.
