I've been through a lot & can't do a lot of things that most people can. In 95 I was shot 2 times & wound up loosing my hip. After many surgeries I finally got it replaced in 2002. With all that, I let myself go. I guess I could consider my self lucky though. For the amount of exercise I got, I could have been a huge blimp. I never strayed from the 160/170 range (accept with some of the hospital stays, I did drop bellow that). But what I did wind up with was tiny arms and a big belly. I think what woke me up was the "Man boobs". There is no way I would have taken off my shirt in the summer. LOL
My wife had to go overseas for 6 months so I figured I'd try to surprise her. My goal was to get to where I was at when I was 21 (which was when we met). I met that goal & have been hooked ever since!
I have to continue working out. I don't know why but after all my surgeries, when I don't work out I get sore as heck. I get all kinds of body aches. Don't let the weather change. It can get so bad, it's like bad bad flu body aches to where I just want to stay in bed. When I'm working out though, very rarely will I get any of the weather aches.
Not to mention just feeling better about myself. Letââ¬â¢s face it, when you look like a lazy slob, you feel like one.
