In 2008 a friend was teaching MMA and invited me down. At that time I wieghed 198lb. In 6 months I lost 30lb, and felt great. I continued for a bit then stopped. This year I went on vaca and wieghed 183lb. When I returned I vowed to get back to the gym. Zumba is great and I've been using the Shape 2012 Fitness Evolved on xbox. I'm now at 167lb but still 'feel' fat. The compliment are great, but I know I can do better!!! My inspiration is a co-worker who last October weighed 213lb and is now-a year later 132lb. She looks amazing and we share lots of nutrition and health info. I can see my body evolving- I see curves where once there were none. I love being able to buy regular size clothing. In 2008 I was size 18-20. Now I wear size 12-14! Never have I EVER wore, or been able to shop for clothes in the single digits. Maybe that time is now. I'm hoping to reach 145 by my birthday in April.
I enjoy watching and seeing my body tansform. Arms are becoming sculpted, double chin minimized. I feel energized and not sluggish. I feel good and would love to be able to show off my back and arms in those little tops in the summer. Yes-working out is work and required determination-but it's worth it. I want a healthy body. Toned, sculpted and firm. I've recently joined a Cardio-Boxing class. I do this for cardio since my left leg is not good and cant take jumping jack or a lot of impact moves.
