I have family history of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. My grandmother passed in 2/15 and now just a few months later I'm watching the same things that happened to her happen to my dad. I'm very close to my dad and it's heartbreaking watching this happen to him. Even more heartbreaking seeing he knows the problems (weight) and won't try to fix it. I'm not ready to see him like I had to see my grandmother. I'm not ready to live life without him. I'm not ready to bury him. I have a wife and 4 kids, and in no way do I want to put them through this because of being hard headed and putting food first.
Working out is a great tool for many things. It helps overall health it helps people view you as a motivated person, and not a lazy person. It helps you live a active life with your family. Not to mention my kids being active and knowing the importance of it. Also a great way to unwind and relive stress with the help of a little gym therapy.
