A little over a year ago I was approaching 300 pounds and I told myself when I see that number on the scale I would do something about it. Well, I saw that number and started paying more attention to what I ate and I started playing disc golf and weight was falling off until I got down to around 260 and I stayed there for several months. I was unhappy when the weight stopped dropping and I was looking for someway to continue the process and I found Kris Gethin's 12-week Transformation. It was very appealing to me since I have never minded lifting weights and the cardio was "reasonable". (As a side note, I always hated cardio but when he said just get to a point where it would be difficult to do cardio and carry a conversation it was appealing because I had always tried to push too hard and not get as good benefits. He's tricky about describing the cardio because as you become more fit you naturally increase the rate.)
I love the feeling after a really hard workout. The fatigue that starts heavy but as your body recovers after the incredible energy boost you receive for the rest of the day. I love pushing myself and catching glances of others in the gym watching me, not as an ego boost though. I go to the gym for me to make myself a better person, mentally and physically and if I inspire you then it's an added bonus because I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have my inspiration from Kris Gethin, Jim Stoppani, and DLB.
