Short version: Want to be in the best shape i've ever been by my 30th.
Long and involved version: Lifted since I was a teenager playing a good standard of rugby. Gave that up after tearing neck/shoulder muscles (you'll notice in pics my shoulders are now slightly different heights thanks to poor physio/recovery). In the gym on and off for a few years while doing other sports, then following a bout of depression last year got back into it and did Kris Gethin's 12 week programme with reasonable success. It all went back on by the start of this year (didn't make the necessary lifestyle changes to keep the fat off - idiot), and i started up again. Job, moving house and life got in the way until while away with mates and one saw me topless and said (in a friendly way) "is that the body of an ironman??? referring to the race i'd done a couple of years previously. That made me sit up and really think, and he was right. I was really out of shape, drinking too much and not looking after myself. I decided then that i'd give myself the present of a 6-pack by my 30th. That was at the start of September (I'm writing this towards the end of October) and i've got my diet tidied up, my training going well and am on the way :)
