Back in 2005 I moved to Texas and one of my best friend, who was also my neighbor, had just began getting serious into weight lifting. He would ask me every time he left if I wanted to go, but I always turned it down and this is where my mistake began. I was never actually fat or unhealthy because I always played sports throughout the year. It was after high school when I did not play any sports when I began to gain weight and became out of shape. It wasn't until March of 2010, after a trip to Berlin, that I chose to pick up the weights when I saw myself without a shirt in a picture and was very unhappy with how I looked. I can not be more happy with my decision to chose a better lifestyle that I can no longer live without! It is definitely one of my best decisions in life!
The ability to lose myself, release any stress/anger, and improve myself physically and mentally all done in a gym is awesome. I love sweating, feeling the burn, and having that self satisfaction knowing I am pushing my body farther. I also enjoy being a role model for those who I work with and everyone else and be able to push them to new limits as well as helping them achieve their own goals in fitness.
