After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in the summer of 2012, I got in a pretty bad dirt bike accident that left me in a wheel chair for a while. I snapped my left femur, dislocated my right hip, separated my right shoulder, was knocked out for 10 minutes, then had fatty emboli syndrome in my lungs from the release of bone marrow into my blood stream. The doc's told me a lot of things about how they thought my future would be-I disagreed with them, put my head down and worked through the pain. After having a titanium rod placed from my hip to my knee, microfracture hip surgery, and multiple shoulder surgeries-I refuse to give myself an excuse to succeed. Life is a mind game after all, it's all about how much work you're willing to put in. Trust me, you can push yourself father than you've ever imagined.
