I used to breed American Bulldogs and would show them. My ex-wife and myself went to a show one year when I was 24 and seen some new bulldogger who was showing his male Stud in the ring. I watched this guy, Pat G., walk his AB around the ring and didn't pay any attention to the dog one bit .. I couldn't take my eyes off Pat as I was so inspired by his awesome build he had from bodybuilding. I told myself from that day forward I will figure out how to achieve a body like that and make it happen. I became friends with Pat G. and listened to everything he told me about bodybuilding. He told me years of knowledge I retained even things that I didn't know why or what he was talking about but one day I would. It was up hill from there ... and the funny thing is now .. when I look back at pictures of Pat G. from those shows ... I kind of laugh being that I seen him as some kind of super human at that time and now he looks like a rookie to me. Rookie with his physique but a master at his know how being he is nutritionist along with a bodybuilder. It just reminds me of how far I came and how others view me now as I don't see things the same way I did then. I don't compete and have nothing to prove to anybody but myself .. I only hope I can inspire at least one person .. like how Pat G. inspired me.
