I got started back in high school - I was fed up with being overweight. I was 285 pounds and I started doing a Weight Watchers plan, played a lot of basketball and did a little lifting. I got down to 225 by the time I went to college. I really kicked things in gear in school, finding this site, building solid workouts and getting in the best shape of my life around 185 pounds. Still, I had things to learn and to this day I keep researching and striving to get in the best shape I can be.
I love being confident in myself and being proud of what I've down. There's always something you can do - get leaner, or get stronger with a bulk. If you're happy where you're at you still keep at it to stay healthy and centered. I also love going just to zone out to great music (another passion of mine) and escaping from any emotions of life when necessary. I love the sense of accomplishment after leaving the gym each session knowing "Today I ensured that tomorrow I'll be better than I am right now."
