Hi!!!! My name is Catherine and I am happy to be here. I began my journey back to bodybuilding October 2011, after seperating from my now ex-husband. I needed to get healthy mentally, emotionally and physically. I wanted to feel better about myself and after being an a abusive marraige for so long I forgot how athletic I was. I needed to do it for myself. I was a 170lbs and well, I couldn't stand myself!!! So, I joined Planet Fitness with two of my sisters and started going three days a week, then four days, and then five days a week. It took me "four" months to loose two pounds!!! I didn't quit, because I wouldn't. I was getting myself back and I decided to be better. By the end of a year and 1/2 I lost 50lbs. Yay!!!! Blood, sweat & tears and well worth it!! In June this year I decided that I wanted to go further than just working out five days a week, I wanted to do something more. I started reading about women that compete in bodybuilding, fitness and figure and I wanted it, so I hired a pro-figure champion in my area and I love her!! I cannot believe what I was able to do in a month!!! Unbelievable! I never thought that I wouldn't care about turning the big 50. I know I don't look my age (thanks mom, genes), now I don't feel it either. I will get there soon, I will compete in Figure competition. That is my altimate goal. :)
Balance.....my mind, spirit and body are connected and I really feel centered and more complete after a workout. I am healthy now. I love, love, love how much stronger my back is and my whole body is. The body is an amazing machine and I love the way of eating, the lifestyle. It's great! I am on a pretty strick way of life which amazingly has made me much more organized. lol From the protien intake every 2 1/2 - 3 hours, clean foods, no crap in my diet at all has done me so much good. There is so much more and I am so thankful for having such a drive to workout. I really really enjoy it. I love my trainer and look forward to more growth and personal success!! :)
