I went to my brothers bachelor party at the beach with a few friends. One is a guy in the Army (now in Afganistan), another was a D1 football player, another buddy is a MMA fighter and my brother is a triathlon guy and the last is just a hoss but not much muscle definition.
Well, I was sitting on the beach and thinking, I am the only one here in horrible shape. So I made it my mission to start to get in better shape. I got back from the beach, weighed at 211. I am 6'3" and I know that weight is not bad but I was fat. No way around that one.
I changed my diet considerably and started focusing on how I workout. Working smart and working hard! I had goals in mind and was going to achieve them. First goal was to be under 190 by my brothers wedding which was 9/28. Did that with ease! Next goal was to be under 180 by Thanksgiving. Bam! Knocked that one out of the park too. Final goal was 175 by the New Year, you know it, I got it!
My goal for 2013 is to just maintain around 180 and get around single digit BF%. I am slowing getting my strength up but also taking my time because of a few injuries I am resting!
That pump, that motivation, the results. Nothing can match that feeling after knocking out a killer cardio day and making your life that much better!
