Ever since I was a young teenager, I had always struggled with body image. I was just too skinny all my life. In the summer of 2012, I drop down to the lowest I ever weighed, 87lbs. I felt very unattractive and had zero self esteem. I came to my breaking point and realized I had to take action. By the end of the summer, I was hitting the gym everyday and lifting heavy! This physical activity stimulated a large appetite causing me to eat more and gain healthy weight. By the summer of 2013, I weighed 125lbs, a all time high! I was finally looking the way I wanted to, I could wear the cute outfits I always wanted to and I couldn't wait to flaunt my curves in my bikini. Finally, at the age of 25!!!!!!!!!!!!! , I had the body I always dreamt of. I was not going to let another year of my life go by with me being unhappy with myself and my body.
Lifting weights changed my life, if I didn't make the decision to turn my life around that summer, I would still be that unhealthy 87lb girl with no confidence, no self esteem and lack of happiness.
Now, I workout to challenge myself, and to be a stronger person than I was yesterday. I workout so I can inspire other people to take action of their health. I want to inspire others and make it understood that you do have the ability to sculpt your body into that dream body you always wanted and that it is never too late to take action.
I love it because it simply brings joy to my life. If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, then life is good.
