I actually started working out in high school for football and loved how it made me feel before, during and after my workouts. Once high school ended and i stopped working out i gained over 100lbs in almost no time. I was around 320lbs and completely oblivious until i saw a picture of myself and realized how bad i looked. So in about a year i lost over 100lbs and stayed that was for about 5 years, When i was 25 i was with my ex wife and miserable and super busy. She thought she was Paula Dean and if i didn't eat seconds she got hurt and we fought. So i was unhappy, super busy, and eating completely unhealthy. In the matter of months i was back over 300lbs and completely unhealthy. Eventually my wife left me and i drowned my sorrows in food. Now here i am 2 years from that awful relationship and 365lbs. About a year ago (March 2015) i decided that it was time for a change, an extreme permanent change. I tried dieting and working out, but i was so heavy that it actually hurt to workout and i felt hungry all the time. So i tried every type of diet and diet program under the sun and nothing seemed to work. One random day i saw a friend who i haven't seen in a while and she looked like an entirely different person, so after about an hour of talking about the Gastric Sleeve that she had gotten i was convinced that it was my last and best option. I knew that when i worked out and ate right i was vigilant and OCD about my meal plan, workouts and supplement regiment, so the gastric sleeve was a good option for me because it is extreme and forces you to have a drastic lifestyle change that i needed. After 8 months of doctors appointments, classes and extensive research and planning i had the surgery on Dec. 8th 2015. I've come up with an extensive meal plan according to their guidelines and at 6 weeks i can start working out. I plan on sharing my entire journey on here for everyone to see.
Working out to me is something that allows me to escape from everything else, when i'm running or lifting i put my headphones in and everything else goes away. It allows me to let everything else fade away for a while and have no cares in the world. I love to set higher goals and reach new limits for myself, its a great feeling to reach your goals and it helps motivate me throughout the rest of my life. Working out gives me purpose, drive and motivation. Its an indescribable feeling to reach a goal that you have set for yourself. Working out is a lifestyle, its never felt like a chore to me.
