I used to go running and working out with friends, then I became interested in challenging myself, to beat the hereditary conditions in my family, heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. Then looks were not so much a part of it. I wanted to be healthy, and live healthy for the rest of my life. The pinnacle of my health and maintaining that is a part of my journey to self revelation.
Why I Love it
I really enjoy it. It helps me de-stress; turning all that negative stress into something positive. Helps with physical and emotional control in my life. Then, there's having an overall feeling of wellness after I recover. I've grown quite a bit, and I get a lot of attention from people; I'm quite modest so I don't gloat over it. :P
