I originally started working out to prepare for basic military training so I started doing tons of push ups and sit ups. I went up in reps rather quickly but I hit a wall on push ups so I started doing decline push ups. I decided I wanted a bit more resistance so I began going to the gym, reading, and becoming more interested in bodybuilding. And I have fallen in love.
It is great to see my body transform (mainly gaining tons of mass, I was always a skinny kid and thought I couldn't gain weight if I tried, even if it was just fat). I started at around 140 pounds less than a year ago, I now weigh 185. A lot of it is fat, but if at least half of it is mass, I think that is awesome. And i am sure it is, I can see it and feel it. It is a good hobby and has became a way of life. I love going to the gym 4 days a week, I love counting calories, I love talking about lifting. It is something to work for and be disciplined about. I really like to go all out on things and put my mind, body, and soul into it. What better than bodybuilding? I hate missing even one workout (only happens during holidays).
