I never worked out growing up besides regular childhood activities of running and jumping a lot. I was thin until college and I gained the dreaded Freshman 15. I got that weight off and was thinner than I had ever been but I did no weight training, just cardio and diet.
I met a man my first year of graduate school who enjoyed lifting weights. He thought I was too skinny and told me that I could go to the gym with him. So I started working out with him and I made some progress but not enough. I began seeing a trainer and I really started seeing progress. Then I had my last two surgeries and it went downhill. I have now been given the green light from my doctor, and this trip is starting again in earnest.
So I'm starting back over. I joined the site in 2010 and fell off for a couple of years. Not sure why I stopped but I'm jumping back into the saddle for 2013. Here we come!
