All throughout elementary school I was a little on the chubby side, never really good at sports. I started mountain biking on trails with friends on a daily basis and progressively lost the extra weight I was carrying around. Although my health/physical appearance improved, once I had reached high school I found that I was good at sports, but in order to be better I would need more muscle. I started working out after school with a buddy of mine at a local YMCA and was instantly hooked. Although I didn't really know all the ins and outs of bodybuilding/working out, I knew that I had a desire to learn more.
Not only does it improve ones physical appearance on the outside, but it builds character, confidence, discipline, and adds to an overall general well-being. It keeps me looking and feeling great, while simultaneously increasing my quality/length of life.
