I've always admired fit/athletic bodies but didn't have sufficient knowledge, motivation or support to make it a reality for myself. My weight has gone up and down over the years -- highest at size 13/14 and nearly 200 post pregnancy in 2003 and lowest at size 0, about 122lbs late 2012 following divorce. My shape has always looked good "in clothes" -- typical Dominican body all in the hips and thighs, but naked I was sloppy and hated looking in the mirror. In January 2013 I decided to make a change for me. I joined the gym and determined that I was going to achieve my dream body now in my 40s.
I love results! I have a long way to go but I've come quite far in the last year. I'm excited about the way my body is finally changing, muscle tone developing and I'm stronger, more confident than I've ever been. I'm finally doing something for me and it feels amazing!
