I've been working out for years, I first began when I overcame anorexia and was introduced to weightlifting by my ex. I struggled with my weight due to depression and personal struggles, it wasn't until I removed myself from a harmful environment that I really was able to focus with a clear head and push myself-striving to be what I have known I can be for years. With a new found love for myself and a wonderful support system I am finding new confidence and a fire inside that can't be put out.
It is more than a hobby for me. Working full time and going to school full time it is my escape. It relieves my stress, brings me joy, peace, determination and a clear mind. To be able to block out everything else that is going on and push myself harder and in different ways each day is an empowering feeling. As I continue to see progress it is such a good feeling having others come to you for friendship, motivation, help and advice for their own fitness journey they are on. I love to support others-the community you can be a part of in the fitness world is incredibly supportive and motivating.
