My fitness journey started about 4 years ago when I decided what I was doing wasn't bettering me physically or mentally. I got a trainer who emphasized HIIT style training and truly helped me with muscle mass and fat loss. As I progressed, I realized how much I was capable of. And 2 years later, I decided I wanted to compete. This was a huge stepping stone for me as I did not know what I was getting myself into. But it felt right, and I knew this was what I was meant to do. I met an amazing man who became my coach and mentor and he embodied what bodybuilding as a lifestyle meant. He embedded in me his love and passion for this sport until it became my own. And now, I can proudly say that this is my passion in life and taking chances instead of subsiding to fear is always worth the risk.
Bodybuilding to me is not just a sport, it is a way of life. I do not consider myself just a bodybuilder, but an athlete. I am a rugby athlete, I power lift, I do anything and everything that will better myself as a person. What I love about working out is that it gave me a passion. It showed me that hard work and putting your whole self into something is rewarding beyond imaginable. It showed me proof that anything I set my heart and mind to, I can accomplish. It gave me something to work for, something to dream about, something to strive and be ambitious for, It gave my life meaning and a way to inspire others and show that it can be done. By taking a small leap of faith and going after it 100 percent.
