I didn't want to suffer from migraines anymore so I read that a person should do weight training along with cardio to be migraine free. IT WORKED! and I haven't had one since 1985. they used to be so bad I would be recovering for 3 days. I was injecting painkillers if I didn't get it fast enough with oral painkillers. not fun with little babies at home.
So my pain-free and migraine passion led to me teaching what i love and then I wanted to challenge my body further in the realm of competing and LOVE pushing the limits! I am excited for the new Woman's Physique division and look forward to my first show competing in Physique June 2013!
I could write a book. I love feeling electrified muscle. It makes me feel alive and living life in COLOR.
I FEEL LIMITLESS! plus this is my favorite MOVIE- LIMITLESS
Why do I compete?: I've heard negative comments (not to me directly) but just thrown around by people who don't know and they ASSUME people who compete do it for the 'attention' or to have a judge tell them they are fit. these statements are so far from the truth regarding MOST competitors. PLUS the growth, both physically, mentally and emotionally far exceeds anything a judge says or the 60 seconds performing on a stage. Some days, second by second you have to dig down so deep to find the strength to keep eating on track at a birthday party, wedding etc. while still haveing to kick a$$ in the gym in a calorie deficit. You push through hurdles mentally and physically and discover strengths you never had to use before. Many clients actually start their own businesses AFTER they compete or the kick that dumb a$$ they live with to the curb because of the inner strength they find. They tell me they now feel LIMITLESS! and that life is theirs to make of it what THEY want.
A former competitor wrote a paper describing it. I am going to put that on my site here so that THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER COMPETED will keep their ignorant (meaning foolish) comments because 'they know not what they speak of" :)
