I lost almost 10 kilos between 2010-2012 due to a prolongued period of illness (crohn's disease), which left me feeling physically weak and generally lacking in confidence. At the start of 2012, i finally got control of my illness and then set about building up my size and strength again. In March I began a weight lifting program designed for maximal muscle growth. I work out 5 days a week, doing dozens of sets of compound exercises including deadlifts and squats to really maximise the gains over my whole body.
1. Seeing results! - Changes to my appearance and weight are a big encouragement to keep going.
2. Beating records - There's no better feeling than beating PB lifts week after week. I'm a competitive person and I love sports, but i don't excel in any 1 particular sport. What I love about working out, is that the only person i compete against is myself and I win every single time i work out by beating last weeks records.
