Growing up I was always involved in some sort of recreational sport. At age 5 I began baseball, moved on to roller hockey, soccer, football, tennis, and basketball. When I was 13 my mother, who was a female bodybuilder, personal trainer, and group instructor back in her 20's, brought me into the gym and showed me proper technique. I never got serious until I left for college. In highschool, I had very poor health habits. I was smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, abusing drugs, ate horribly. When I got to college in the summer of 2011 I was 5 foot 9 inches 123lbs. I had a girlfriend at the time that I'd been dating throughout high school and went through a rough breakup. I needed something to get my mind off of things and found the gym. Fitness and Nutrition quickly became my obsession. I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I entered college as a psychology major. I am going into my senior year. I've switched majors from psychology to athletic training, to health sciences, and finally to Sport and Exercise Sciences: Human Performance, where I shall remain indefinitely. After attending the Europa Show of Champions Expo in April 2013, I fell in love with the competitive aspect of bodybuilding. A year later I competed for my first time in the same show. This is a lifetime commitment and my journey has only just begun. I hope to inspire and motivate the average person to make lifestyle changes and improve their quality of living. If skinny, unhealthy little me could do it, SO CAN YOU!
