I played football in high school and workout out for that and continued some of that for the first 3 years of my undergrad. My senior year I really found that I loved the discipline and dedication that bodybuilding required. I didn't have any plans to compete, but I began lifting more regularly and following various programs from BB.com rather than going to the gym without a gameplan. Once I developed a solid lifting habit I began slowly changing my diet.
I love the way I feel when I'm in the gym. I stay extremely busy during the week with work and class. Gym time is the only consistent 'ME' time that I allow myself. I find that working out is a prime manifestation of the saying 'You only get out what you put in.' In the gym, I am fully in charge of whether or not I achieve my goals. I also love the lifestyle: lifting to stay in shape and eating right to stay healthy.
