I got started due to some very stressful events that happened in my life within a 4 month period of time. I was probably at my lowest low and I had to do something with myself to pick myself back up. I literally emotionally felt like either you find a goal for yourself to work towards or you might as well be dead because right now your life completely sucks, :)
I had a few experiences with random people who spoke about health and fitness and I just gravitated towards it. I thought to myself this is what I want to do for myself. I had never heard of bodybuilding.com or bodyspace before but I am so glad I found it! It's been life changing for me emotionally and physically. I love this community and the support and learning about health and fitness.
I love working out because it gives me a renewed sense of energy. I have completed goals I never thought I could ever do (it's a mind thing). I now can run a mile without stopping and I plan to continue to work on my running skills. I just love the way I feel when I do cardio, even though, at first, I whined nonstop about how I can't do cardio. Now...I love it and I love the feeling it gives me.
I also love weight lifting. Never had any direction on how to do this until I started following a couple of programs that guided me thru the process. Weight lifting is fun, I love the way it makes my body look and I cannot get enough of it.
