I've always been a real skinny person... I've been picked on about it since I was young, mostly people joking, trying to get a smile... But it always bothered me... When I mentioned to someone about me working out, they always said "You can't get big... You're naturally a lean person, and you can't go against genetics".. For the heck of it, I decided to try working out for a while.. in a short time, I had gained an inch in my chest, 3/4 of an inch on my arms, my abs started to show.......I came to BodyBuilding.com and saw some of the transformations..Some of those guys looked just like me at a time... and in only 4, maybe 5 years, they'd changed themselves to what I'd always wanted to be... Probably going against their genetics... This was a huge inspiration.... I'm totally addicted to the feeling of "the pump", now... And I don't see myself stopping (or even slowing down) until I get to where I want to be.. My motto has always been "If you don't like something about yourself, change it." and that applies to you physically and mentally..
I don't know if I could name many reasons... The "high" you get after a very intense set.. The "pump".. The results, of course... Even the dieting for it, since I know I'm staying healthy... I've always been a bit of a "health freak", aside from the diet part... More a health freak when it comes to exercise..
